about

This was written around the same time as 'Handbreak' and all the break/brake poems. Does anyone else remember the Australian TV "star" Hotdogs? Was he on Big Brother? One of those shows anyway. This is a fun poem to perform, so many references. And then it gets all sad at the end. So strange how many poems Sandy is in that she never got the chance to hear. It hadn't occurred to me until this moment that 80% of the poems I wrote for her, or at least that referenced her in some way were actually written after she died. Ten years next year.

I'm pretty proud of the music on this track, especially the intro. It always reminds me a bit of the old MARRS 'Pump Up The Volume' track, or maybe Coldcut or Bomb the Bass or something from around that period (1987-ish).

about

Steve Smart Poetry & Music Melbourne, Australia

Steve Smart is practically indestructible. Hard headed and stubborn, he may not be the most famous poet in the world but no one can say it's from lack of trying. All of his poetry and music albums are right here at Bandcamp.
