In The Winter City

about

This is kinda fun, going over all these old poems/tracks and figuring out how to describe their coming into being. 'Winter City' was written for a competition at the Celtic Club in Melbourne CBD when Patrick McCauley was running the gig there. My Dad likes this one best, still I think after all these years. For me it was just a simple ode to a city that I loved. Still love it, the city, most days. I'd say I look at Melbourne more... dispassionately now.

about

Steve Smart Poetry & Music Melbourne, Australia

Steve Smart is practically indestructible. Hard headed and stubborn, he may not be the most famous poet in the world but no one can say it's from lack of trying. All of his poetry and music albums are right here at Bandcamp.
