about

My first album, 'Diatribe', was very short and I'm starting to feel like I was making up for it with ATAKITH. So many tracks! This is not even the halfway point, quite. Over-compensating possibly.

Anyway, looks like this is the last one Leigh and I recorded together. I wonder if it really was take one or if I was just being funny. I did some nice humming at the beginning, and as always Leigh's guitar is a beast. A beast mate! It's kind of like being in the middle of a Ry Cooder soundtrack-film moment listening back to this.

Oh, I lied earlier, this one's inspired by Emily Ulman too.

I'm trying to figure out where the title came from. I have a strange feeling Leigh may have come up with 'Dinner at Midnight'. It's certainly not taken directly from the poem, which originally was just called 'after Daughter' in honour of Emily's song. Nope, no idea, I'm gonna say it was Leigh.
